The Jaguar F-Type SVR is a gorgeous and ridiculously fast car. But how would you spec it?

That was frustrating to say the least.

If you want a manual, you go for the six, but if since you’re actually getting a neutered 8 instead of a 6, you need the V8. Which means you’re stuck with an auto. Then you want carbon brakes. And you’re now stuck with ugly wheels and hideous pedal covers.

You want a steering wheel that has a flat bottom to visually hide the eccentricity of the round steering wheel? You’re now also stuck with stupid ergonomically shaped pads that make it look like a boy-racer wheel. Also, no matter what you do, the interior is predominantly black.

But hey, a zillion options for wheel nuts. :/

And the purple was a nice color (black berry)

Yeah that’s my mistake, didn’t realize the highest one doesn’t come with BRG, doesn’t make sense, but maybe if you actually went to a dealership they could do it?

I watched an episode of Top Gear when they were comparing the exhaust notes of several cars and one of them was a top-end Jaguar and it sounded the best of all. By far. Might it have been one of these?

I ended up building the exact same car that you did. It looks gorgeous in blue. That said, I’d rather have the V6 manual with a glass roof as my GT car.

Also, heated seats aren’t standard on a $100k Jag, but a $26k Kia Optima comes with them standard. I need my ass to be toasty damnit.

Having seen an XF-RS in person, the spoiler looks just as good as the SVR but the exhaust on the XF-RS is 100,000,000,000x better than any F-Type. And I have had a F-Type R rev in my face. Once you hear a XF-RS in person, you have completed life.
